Lace is not a simple fabric to put on. You can look sophisticated, when the lace is worn correctly, or you can go too vulgar like Maggie Gyllenhaal in her Jean Paul Gaultier peek-a-boo orange lacy dress.

In S/S ‘08 many designers told us a bedtime story and dressed up their models in sheer seductive fabrics. As part of the chic boudoir trend, it became clear that lace is not the old fashioned fabric from your grandmother’s wardrobe anymore.
