Our worst fashion nightmare may soon be coming true, as Amy Winehouse is reportedly in talks to create her very own fashion collection, reports Marie Claire today.
According to The Sun, the British singer is in negotiations with the Fred Perry label and has been bragging to friends that a line is already in the works.
Chanel supremo Karl Lagerfeld defended both the use of fur in fashion and zero-sized models, the Telegraph reported today. He said fur was justified, because the “beasts” fur comes from animals that would “kill us if they could.”

He’s not the real Karl Lagerfeld, only wittier. That would be the faux Karl Lagerfeld from the exuberantly funny blog, Karl Lagerfeld’s Guide to Life.
And oh what a guide it is! The very essence, the raison de etre of his Karlness, the fan-tinged, white-shocked hair, larger-than-life persona of the Fashion God himself is captured and distilled for all to see, along with special appearances by the faux Anna Wintour and the revenant of Yves Saint Laurent.
The first part of the show was all gangster-hippie chic with models wearing holsters and guns and stepping out in sleek tuxedoed, slouchy blouse-and-pant combinations. Then, the resort collection was highlighted with hippie-drippy looks such as disco-metallic blazers, suits textured with camellias, bell bottom pants and pleated hot pants.
“It’s all about proportions, cuts, volumes,” Lagerfeld said pre-show. “There is not one line that is taken all through the collection. For cruise, you don’t do that. There are many looks and an attitude.”
In the new S/S 08 ad campaign, Karl Lagerfeld shooting blonde Claudia Schiffer, elicits a 60s vibe a la Bridget Bardot.
