Life in the countryside can be chic and stylish with designers offering plenty of checks, plaids, tweeds, twills and fur for Fall/Winter ’09. Nothing is more pleasant than soft jackets, velvet dresses, cozy vests, chunky knits and tweed pants in chilly weather, when there’s a strong bite to the air, and your breath turns to frost.
Indian inspired costume jewelry was a big hit at Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2008 fashion show. Silver and gold- tiered necklaces with glass, pearls, and crystal embellishments were worn as a headpiece on the runway.
