2009 Costume Institute Gala Red Carpet Report
Last night’s Costume Institute Gala was probably the biggest red carpet event of the year, as it gathered all of the fashion elite including designers, models, and celebs in a stylish symphony of luxurious glamour and elegance. Dream dresses, radiant attendees, more beauty than ones eyes could safely behold, together in glorious aesthetic reverence. If only they could stage such a magnificient soiree every day!

Kate Moss was the very essence of refined extravagance in a Stephen Jones metallic turban and lamé Marc Jacobs asymmetrical dress.

Diane Kruger brought classic Couture to the proceedings by wearing a white Chanel mini dress.

Oscar winning actress Marion Cotillard outshone everyone in her pink Christian Dior gown. Her lucky stylist, just insured herself a nice raise.

Madonna, looking amazingly fit (how does she do it?) showed off a pair of winsome bunny rabbit ears accompanied by a Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 number.

Eva Longoria sexed it up in a black Diane von Furstenberg dress with keyhole detail.

The amazing Anne Hathaway dazzled us speechless luxuriating in a violet zippered number by Marc Jacobs. She accessorized with Pour La Victoire metallic sandals.

Rihanna vamped out in a Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 pant suit. She completed her look with leather gloves and black platform pumps.

The Gossip Girl star Blake Lively statement-walked in a low-cut, high slit chiffon Versace Fall 2009 gown.

Heidi Klum covered her baby bump with a J.Mendel dress.

Jessica Biel donned an Atelier Versace Spring 2009 gown with an uber-long train.

Ashley Olsen rocked the red carpet in a white Christian Lacroix gown. Simple, but not simplistic in its sophisticated appeal.

Bolder though less elegant than her sister, Mary-Kate Olsen opted for a vintage Lacroix gown too.

Eva Mendes shimmered in a Calvin Klein dress.

Cindy Crawford, looking magnifique, opted for a turquoise Versace dress and complimented it with electric blue platform sandals.

Jessica Alba appeared wearing a cobalt blue Jason Wu mini dress which she paired with tights, pink clutch and emerald earrings.

Kate Hudson attended the party in a shimmery gold gown by Stella McCartney.

Victoria Beckham wore a polka dotted Louis Vuitton dress.

R&B singer Ciara gracefully dazzled in a black Pucci dress with white panels and sequins.

Tyra Banks stunned in black beaded strapless gown. Ou la la, refined finery at its best.

Ivanka Trump was amazingly beautiful in her nude tulle Brian Reyes gown.

Another Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester opted for a paisley printed outfit by Louis Vuitton.

Liv Tyler looked quite elegant in a blue Stella McCartney dress.

Gisele Bundchen brought her sexiness in a shimmery sequined blue Versace mini.

Vogue editrix Anna Wintour chose a black and white Chanel Spring ’09 couture gown.

Rachel Bilson hit the red carpet in a Bally by Brian Atwood dress and Brian Atwood soes.

Katy Perry wowed in a blue Tommy Hilfiger dress.

Kate Beckinsale chose blue ruffled, oh so voluminous Marchesa Fall 2009 gown.

Wow Ivanka Trump and Blake Lively look stunning. My favorite is Ivanka’s Brian Reyes dress though.
I like Olsen’s dress, but that Brian Reyes dress on Ivanka def exceed them all. LOve it. Can’t wait to see the resort collection!
Diane Kruger’s Chanel dress is amazing! I wish I could have it, I would wear it all the time, it’s just perfect!
Ivanka looks so great in the Brian Reyes dress! It’s a great cut for her.
HATE Leighton Meester’s outfit. She’s one of my fashion icons and what she is wearing is such a disappointment.
