The Awards season has officially begun, so  imagine our fervent delight upon seeing the red carpet dallianced with glamorous gowns almost every day. We’ll start with the 2009 Critics Choice Awards, a gala gathering of scintillating stars and chic couture, pleasant for the eyes, costly for the wallet, and the epitome of trend-breaking new styles and designs.

Finally Angelina Jolie opted for some color. She arrived on the red carpet sans make up with her hubby Brad Pitt in a white satin Max Azria Spring 2009 gown. A bit too stolid perhaps for the passionate Jolie.

Anne Hathaway looked like an art masterpiece in her strapless Gianfranco Ferré Spring 2009 ivory and black dress. Hathaway wows with the dynamic duo of beauty and grace.

Kristen Bell opted for a Stella McCartney Spring 2009 dress. Hey Stella! We are less than smitten with your design, which reminds us of a aluminum foil tube dress  for some reason.

Kate Beckinsale stunned us  with a burgundy J.Mendel Pre-Fall 2009 gown. Class, panache, flair… she looked good indeed.

Eva Longoria worked it out and then some with a classic embellished turquoise Monique Lhuiller Spring 2009 dress.

Penelope Cruz donned a navy blue gown, elegant in its simplicity and shape.

Katy Perry put on a 1940’s inspired light blue silk gown that did wonders for her figure and our appreciation of her good taste.
