Collection Preview: MCQ ALEXANDER MCQEEN FOR TARGET

21 January 2009 4 Comments

Forget about yesterday’s excitement with Converse’s Target collaboration, because nothing is comparable with the upcoming Alexander McQueen collection there. We swear it is the greatest bargain of all time.

The designer was inspired by Leila Moss, the lead singer of Duke Spirit and her bandmates. The result is very funky rock’n’roll pieces which include studded jeans, and leather vests with a touch of menswear. The wow factor of the collaboration? Dresses! They are signature McQueen with clean and sharp lines.

“I wanted my Target collection to feature key aspects of the McQ Alexander McQueen aesthetic, classic craftsmanship with a rebellious, nostalgic flare,” McQueen told NYLON magazine. “The collection is comprised of effortless, chic menswear inspired tailored pieces that women will feel confident wearing.”

The collection will debut on March 1 and like every devoted fashionista, we can’t wait to buy it all.

Fabulous. But do you know if the collection is going to include those shoes? Because I think I must have them.
