We may consider her very pretty, but the British hold her in much less regard. Model Agyness Deyn has been voted as the most annoying person of 2008, according to BBC Three’s Most Annoying People of 2008 list.

Deyn heads the top of the list and towers over other contenders Peaches Geldof, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and former pop singer Kerry Katona.

During 2008, Agy appeared in numerous ad campaigns including Burberry, Jean Paul Gautier and Giorgio Armani, graced many magazine covers, and made an attempt to enter the music industry, which didn’t go quite swimmingly.

Former model and TV presenter, Michelle De Swarte says of Deyn:

“She is just everywhere, you can’t get away from her.”

But her home town of Rossendale in Lancashire, England, is strongly supporting their native daughter. The town’s mayor, Coun Christine Gill, defends the infamous model telling us:

“Agyness is around the same age as my daughter and her brother came to a playgroup I ran. The whole family were really nice people,” she said. “I wouldn’t describe them as annoying at all. Agyness has certainly put Rossendale on the map and we thank her for that. She has bought fame to the area and we wish her well for the future.”
