‘Tartans are absolutely brilliant’ said Vivienne Westwood. It seems that designers like Henry Holland and Dolce&Gabbana support her belief, as tartans were a main leitmotif at their Fall/Winter ’09 fashion shows.
Nostalgia was out in full force as ruffled dresses were paired with ‘baboushka’ headscarves, bow tied blouses, and coats and tights at D&G, while in-playful skirts were featured at the House of Holland.
