The tweed jacket is a fashion classic which is still going strong after half-a-century. Coco Chanel introduced her legendary boxy tweed jacket in the early fifties and since then, it has become a last-a-lifetime wardrobe piece.
Decades ago, women used to wear tweed jackets with a-line and pencil skirts, or pair them with pants. But it’s too classy now.

You can easily modernize your tailored tweed jacket, if you pair it with something unexpected. Experiment with floral dresses, patterned skirts, high-waisted pants, chiffon bow blouses, shorts, jeans, or velvet skirts. Add a deconstructivist touch to the classic shape, by playing with colors and proportions. Interpreting classics is always fun!
